French Mime for Bowne International

Was invited to perform for Bowne International (A MNC in the finance sector) on 22 August 2008. Their office is located at Maybank Tower.

The private event is held in line with the post-National Day Fire Work Celebration. The event was superb, guests are fun, delicious food, nice view of firework display, funny jokes all the way and warm treatment from the GM of the company..... GREAT MEMORY!

The Main Entrance of Bowne :

Chocolate Fountain.... One of my favourite bites, I ate alot of them after the show... haha... ;-)

Mingling with the Crowd (Just Manage to take 2 photos. The client will send me more pic after they touch up :-)

Roy met his buddy - Reggie Wan, the well known Caricaturist in Singapore

After a delay of 20 minutes, finally here the fire work comes.... fantastic view and I can see tiny little dots of people flooding the bridge beside the Merlion Park....

After the show, I still can't stop snapping photos in the changing room.... probably didn't got to take much during show

After washing up, in my fastest speed, I didn't rush to get my pay cheque but to Reggie's place to get a FREE portrait of myself :-)

Visit his blog at http://www.sg-caricature.blogspot.com/

After getting my cute cute portrait and the pay cheque. Roy and I head to Clark Quay for a drink. On the underpass from Boat Quay heading Clack Quay, Roy met his friend who is busking there. We cheer, clap, and sing along when he is performing. Managed to push up his sales(collection from public).... hehe : >

Great Music, Great People, What A Great Life :-)

Advertorial : ST701

I recalled there was once a friend of mine asked me a question.

"Wendy since you are now into performing arts, where do you get people to engage your services?"

"I advertise, by word of mouth....."

"What, you advertise?!?"

I was shocked when I see my friends reaction. Yes, in fact freelancers like me are consider a "half business woman". In business everyone know that advertising and word of mouth is the main source of business. So, it applies to me as well, just that for services like mine, we always narrow down to advertising options that requires a low investment like online advertising.

I first advertising on Google Adwords when my entertainment company HEART NEU CIRCUS is formed. Sooner or later during mid 2008, I found out that ST701 provides free online advertisement placement. Then I started marketing my shows on ST701.

The automated tool is user friendly......User first have to register an account under ST701 then just follow the steps below........

STEP 1: SELECT CATEGORY

STEP 2: WRITE MORE ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES

STEP 3: ADD PHOTOS & VIDEOS

STEP 4: PLACE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION

STEP 5 : Done! Congratulation!

For the full advertisement, please visit : http://shops.st701.com/shops/view/59703

P/S: I am posting the photo(taken from my show last weekend) and advertisement while writing this advertorial. It is so user friendly. It just takes around 3-5 minutes and your ads are up!

As I first stated up using the free advertising option on ST701, I often have to re-post a new advertisement after every 14 days.

I then start using ST701's silver package where I just have to pay S$ 5.00 for a 21 days duration advertisement. Instead of 3 photos, I have an opportunity to post 12 photos, 1 video link and top picks with bold title.

With this I just have to post my ad once a month and my ads will be more outstanding compare with other advertisements.

Also, S$ 5 a month is consider one of the lowest if compare with other forms of online advertising.

Why not ? :-)

SHOW TIME!

It's 45 minutes before show time, after viewing the performing spot, my artists started putting on the costume and make-up at our changing room. While I was still at Asian Civilization Museum's Level 2 Ballroom preparing the platform for my artists!

Cham, by the time I got back to the changing room, I only left 15 minutes before the first slot of our performance. Rush Rush Rush!

My friend Janice came down as my stage manager to coordinate with the artists, guests and client. You know hoteliers(all the invited guest are management levels of 4&5 star hotels in Singapore) can be quite high-class and classy, better leave it for my friend to do it :-) Thank god.... luckly we manage to kick start the first set on time!

The First Set of 45 minutes performance is pure statue so it is quite a challenging act as all of us have to "endure" throughout and the muscle control plays a very important part in this set.
Joey On Action (Chef)

Ming Xi On Action (Bartender)

Tina (Model from Finland), she is acting as a General Manager. Frankly she look very "fake" due to her European Figure. I lose already, no fight :S Haha....

Roy On Action (Bellman)

Kevin On Action (Chef)

Wendy On Action (Bartender)

Our first set of performance ends when the emcee announced SHATEC's CEO - Dr. Steven on the stage for a speech.

Hurray finally it is break time! After the cake cutting ceremony, all the artist went back to our platform for the second set of 45 minutes performance.

This time round instead of statue only, we started transforming into mime which move in a very active manner. This is when the laughter starts! The guests and the client love this part of performance. We started to act like our character as chef, bartender etc. Unfortunately I don't have any photo to show case.

After the 2 sets of "enjoyment", finally our job is done.

The client is so kind to pass us some of the photos taken and printed instantly during the event :-)

Kevin At Work

My Brother Kevin is helping me on the show as well. Definitely, he is involve in the dirty work - Spray Spray Spray!!!

Finally done....

Look at him when he was rehearsing for the show at home.
